Adelyn Talbot, 97, of Boise, passed away on Thursday, June 09, 2011, in a local care center. A graveside service will be held on Monday, June 13, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Dry Creek Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Alden-Waggoner Funeral Chapel, Boise.
Adelyn was born at North Loup, Nebraska, on April 21, 1914. She was the youngest of five children born to Charles and Henrietta Rodgen Boettger. She graduated from Scotia, Nebraska High School and from Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in Hastings, Nebraska. She came to Boise in 1942 and worked at St. Luke’s Hospital. She was married to Charles Talbot on Oct. 1, 1943 in Boise. He died Sept 16, 1995. She retired from nursing in 1976 after 23 years as school nurse for the Boise Independent School District. She was a member of Hillview United Methodist Church. Memorials may be made to Hillview United Methodist Church Endowment Fund.
