It is with extreme sadness that the family
of sweet Alice "Caroline" Hair announces her passing on December 2,
2018.
Caroline was born Alice Caroline Janson to Joseph B.
Janson and Stella Lee Janson February 16, 1933 in Excelsior Springs, Missouri.
Her father was an authentic Swedish masseur, and her mother a school teacher.
She grew up in Excelsior Springs with Brothers David, Joe and her German
Shepard named King. She attended Gulf Park Women's College in Gulfport
Mississippi and graduated as a theatre arts/Drama major from Northwestern
University in Chicago in 1955. Caroline received top honors in her field
winning several awards including Actress of the Year for her leading role in
the play “Wa Mu" in Chicago, named outstanding drama teacher at New Trier
High School, Evanston, ll. and was coveted as a fantastic high school English
teacher at Punahou School, Honolulu, HI.
Caroline married the love of
her life, Dr. Walter W. Hair in 1955 for the start of an absolute true love
story! She helped support him as he finished medical school and a move to Boise
Idaho to start a medical practice and raise a family. She leaves as her legacy
3 loving sons, David Mason Hair (Sharon), Shaun Cameron Hair and Mark Janson
Hair (Barb) and 4 grandchildren, Connor Walter Hair, Brendan James Hair, Sydney
Caroline Hair and Ally Madeline Hair.
Caroline is preceded in death by her father
Joseph, mother Stella, Brother Gustav Janson, brother David Janson and brother
Joseph Janson.
Caroline contributed greatly to the Boise
Community though various wonderful causes and fund raisers. She served a term
proudly as President of the Ada County Medical Auxiliary. As a self-described
amateur standup comedian, she terrorized the Boise medical community through
comedic roasts of unsuspecting Physicians and at special medical community
events. She was absolutely hilarious and in high demand for these talents! She
loved the stage!
Caroline was an avid reader, very engaging
in her book club and truly treasured her dear friends at book club. She was an
enthusiastic traveler and was very fortunate to travel the world with family
and many friends!
Sweet Caroline was an
amazing woman and will be missed by the entire world...her family misses her terribly!
A simple mission for humor and kindness was
her mantra. Those whose lives she touched will never be the same and will never
forget. You know who you are!
A family memorial will be determined at a
later date. The family requests that donations be made lovingly in her name to
your favorite charity.
"Sweet Caroline" sing her
song....you already know the words...what an incredible human being...
