Allen Paul Fadel died September 30,
2014 in Boise, Idaho. He was born in South Milwaukee, WI on December 18, 1923
to Allen B. Fadel and Lillian (Leavitt) Fadel. He graduated from South
Milwaukee High School in 1942 and served in the Army from 1943 to 1946 in the
European Theater. While in the Army another soldier read the Bible to him and
helped him understand that Jesus Christ was his Savior and that he needed to
repent of his sin and trust the death of Christ on the Cross for forgiveness.
Allen prayed and became a "new creation in Christ." Allen married
Jane Ulvin in 1949 in Thief River Falls, MN. Allen and Jane graduated
together from Northwestern College in Minneapolis, MN in 1950 and served as
missionaries with TEAM (The Evangelical Alliance Mission) in Japan from 1951 to
1969.God used them and blessed their ministry to help establish churches in
Aomori, Hitachi City, and Tokyo. After returning to the U.S. in 1969 they
settled in Thief River Falls, MN. In 1974 they moved to Dickinson, ND where
they organized and pastored the Evangelical Bible Church. In 1984 they returned
to Japan and ministered in a suburb of Tokyo until 1990 when they returned to
the U.S. and settled in Salem, OR where they held meetings for Japanese
students and ministered in the Chinese Christian Fellowships of Salem and
Corvallis. Allen and Jane moved to Boise, ID in 2004. He is preceded in death
by his wife, Jane and brother, Eugene. Allen is survived by his sons Stephen of
Hopkins, MN, Mark (Linda) of Boise, David (Rita) of Bothell, WA, Michael of
Quincy, MA, and James (Sherry) of Columbia, SC and 10 grandchildren and 8 great
grandchildren. He will be remembered for his life-long devotion to study, his
quick wit and humor, his love of garlic, his love of music expressed through his
beautiful baritone voice and smooth trombone, but most of all his love for
Jesus Christ and love for people. A memorial service will be held at The
Cornerstone Church,1023 South Curtis Road, Boise at 4:00 p.m. October 4, 2014.
Burial will be at the Veterans Cemetery in Boise October 7 at 11:00 a.m.
