Anna M. Hansen, 84, of Boise, died suddenly on
Saturday, April 28, 2012. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held
on May 5th at 4:00 p.m. at King of Glory Lutheran Church (3430 N. Maple Grove,
Boise). A time of fellowship will follow
the service. Pastor Larry Stappler will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of
Alden-Waggoner Chapel.
Ann, a retired registered nurse, was born
September 2, 1927. She grew up on a farm
outside of Salem, Oregon. She and
sister, Peg, went to nursing school together in Portland, Oregon. She married Donald R. Hansen on April 15,
1950 and celebrated their 40
th
anniversary shortly before he passed
away. She worked in various hospitals
and ended her career as a school nurse with Boise Public Schools.
Ann was an active member of the Lutheran
Church. She loved reading, traveling,
biking on the green belt, water aerobics, and square dancing. She was a volunteer at Saint Alphonsus and
recently earned her 2,000 hour pin. Ann
was a loving mother, grandmother, and delighted in living long enough to enjoy
four great- grandchildren.
Survivors include a son, Don Hansen Jr. of
Mountain Home; a daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Randy Sulfridge of
Lowman; one sister, Peg Belott of Gresham, OR; and two granddaughters, Heather
and husband Mike Luchte of Boise and Virginia and husband Jim Imlah of
Anacortes, WA.; great-grandchildren include twins, Reagan and Trinity Luchte
and Randal and Alden Imlah.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Don
in 1990 and son, Paul in 1976.

of flowers, gifts can be made in her name to the Saint Alphonsus Auxiliary
(1055 N. Curtis Rd., Boise, Idaho 83706).
