Anne Mastro Epeldi died on Sunday, September 13, 2015 with family by her side. Rosary and services were held on Friday, September 18th at 1:00 PM at Alden Waggoner Funeral Chapel followed by burial at Morris Hill Cemetery.
Anne Mastro Epeldi was born on Ellis Island, New York on April 23, 1920. Her parents were Stella Favale Mastro and Julius Mastro. She attended Central Grade School and graduated from Boise High School in 1938. Anne was employed by the Idaho Fish and Game Department from 1942 until 1980 when she retired.
She married Joseph F. Epeldi November 28, 1959 at St. John's Cathedral. He died in May, 1986.
Anne traveled to Hawaii, Spain and toured the Eastern, Southern and Western United States with Joe.
She traveled to Italy in 1976 with her mother who was 90 years old and her sister, Nancy. They visited relatives. The highlight in Rome was the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's Cathedral.
Anne enjoyed her home, family and gardening. She was a collector of dishes and objects of art. She was affectionately known as Aunt Annie and Tia Anne by her nieces and nephews.
She was a member of the Italian-American Club, the Catholic Women's League and Euzkaldunak.
Survivors are 7 nieces and nephews, 17 great nieces and nephews, and 11 great-great nieces and nephews. Survivors also include Cousins Philip and Frank Sciara and Josephine Franzia.
