Audrey J. Jones, 85, of Boise, Idaho, died on August 26, 2011. She endured many years of battling Multiple Sclerosis and Post Polio.
As Audrey requested, a private service and burial will be held at the Morris Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Alden-Waggoner Funeral Chapel.
Audrey was born on January 26,1926, near Rockville, Nebraska. She was the youngest child of Gilbert and Maude Emry. At a young age she moved with her family to a farm near Comstock, Nebraska, where she was raised and educated.
She married Ali Anderson on August 28, 1948. They resided at Chadron, Nebraska, until moving to Nampa, Idaho. They have one daughter, Cheryl Lynn Anderson. On August 30, 1975, Audrey was united in marriage to Russell E. Jones, her loving husband of 21 years.
After high school graduation, Audrey attended Chadron State College at Chadron, Nebraska. In 1949 she was employed as an accountant in the office of "The Chadron Record," a local newspaper. After moving to Nampa, Idaho, in 1953 she was employed as Credit Manager for Montgomery Ward. After 12 years with Montgomery Ward, she was employed as an accountant for Nampa Drug. In 1965 she opened her own business known as Mobile Accounting. She continued as a partner in Mobile Accounting until 1990.
Audrey was a licensed public accountant and a member of the National Society of Public Accountants. She was baptized on November 28, 1949, in the First Baptist Church. She always enjoyed being a Sunday school teacher for the young children. She spent many happy times at the ocean. She also enjoyed gardening and her roses.
Audrey is survived by daughter, Cheryl Lynn Anderson,; stepdaughter, Rusanne Jones and stepson Gary Jones and wife Cheryl; four grandsons, Brian Wade, Nick Wade, Neil Jones, and Mark Jones; four great-grandchildren, Alexis, Amber, Ashley, and Ethan; and sister, Elna Brady.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell, her father and mother, three brothers:Merle, Ervon and John, also four sisters: Mamie, Berta, Maguerite, and Catherine.
Her daughter, Cheryl Lynn Anderson, would like to thank the staff of Life Care Centers of Valley View Rehab Center on Allumbaugh, for their unconditional love and care of her mother. She would also like to thank Dr. Leslie Nona and the staff of the St. Luke's downtown ICU and CCU, and her neighbors and friends.
