Aurelia Ann Diffendaffer Groves
Aurelia Ann was good enough for an old gal with a young heart. After 65 years, that young heart gave out Sunday February 5th due to pancreatic cancer.
Her mottos in later life include:
Ya gotta make your own party!
There’s a pony in there
somewhere!
It’s a Beautiful Day!
With Grace and Tenacity: To Face All Challenges
She lived most fully in the last 30 years of her life. She worked only to take home a paycheck and often said- my day begins at 5:00p.m. Many people who knew Ann well took her philosophies of life to heart. Her friends were as eclectic as she.
Ann was truly the definition of Grace and Courage- Someone to whom we can all look up to and learn.
Over the past year, Ann dealt with ever increasing struggles and pain. However, She was never heard to say... 'Why Me?' or 'What did I do to deserve this?' Choosing instead to be positive and upbeat, focused on spending quality time with those that she cares about and doing as much as she was able to do in her retirement.
A wonderful teacher who graciously spent time passing on her crafts.
Her daughter, granddaughter and great-grandchildren, the lights of her life, when they said jump, Grandmama just asked “how high.”
She hopes to have left a little lavender in the lives of those she’s known, enough so as they have a little left over to pass on to others.
We are better people because of Aurelia Ann...
Family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Aurelia Ann’s name to the Idaho Botanical Garden.
Here flies the spirit of Ann Groves among the pine trees on the wings of butterflies.
A Celebration of life will be held on her birthday Friday, February 10th between 1-4p.m. at her home 2288 N Raymond St. Boise, Idaho 83704.
