Barry Kelso, 70, of Boise, died on August 12, 2020 at home. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, August 26 th , at the Alden-Waggoner Funeral Chapel, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m., on Thursday, August 27 th at the Alden-Waggoner Funeral Chapel. Due to COVID guidelines, seating will be limited. A limited attendance committal service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery, Boise. For those who cant attend in person, the funeral service will be livestreamed and available for viewing by going to www.aldenwaggoner.com and clicking the tributes tab.
Barry was born in Boise, Idaho on February 13, 1950 to Milo M. Kelso and Leona Claney Kelso. He grew up in Boise and attended Borah High School where he graduated. Following High School Barry joined the United States Navy, serving faithfully for a brief time. Barry worked as an auto detailer for the rental car industry. Barry attended church at Hillcrest Trinity Assembly of God and Whitney United Methodist in the Boise
Barry spent many years studying and doing research on his family history.
He is survived by his sister, Judy Aldrich, half-brother, Craig Roberts, nephew, Robert Aldrich, aunt Melba Shaver and aunt Fern Bielenberg, uncle, Len Bielenberg and other nieces, nephews, and cousins and the many friends that Barry had.
Memorials are suggested to be made to Whitney United Methodist and Boise Valley POW/MIA.
