Betty L. Spence

Betty L. Spence, 86, of Middleton, passed away Wednesday, July 24, 2019.

She was born October 29, 1932 in Wellston, OK.  Betty was the oldest of 3 children to grace the lives of her parents Oscar and Ruth May Barnes.  She was raised with her family in Tulare, CA where she later ended up graduating from Tulare High School.

Betty met and married her first husband Allen Wayne Bridges in 1950 and they had 3 children together. Later in 1963 Betty met and married Eddy Caito who ended up loving and adopting her children as his own.  In 1970 Betty married her eternal husband Dale Spence and was blessed with raising his 5 children as if they were her own.

Betty spent her life caring for others whether working at a nursing home, the State School & Hospital, or in-home health care.  Her love of others really shined through.

Betty had a love for fishing, camping, and playing practical jokes on people.  She also really enjoyed playing card games with friends and family, driving around town, and cooking Thanksgiving dinners.

Betty found the truth in the Gospel and converted to the Church of Jesus Christ in 1989.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, brother Jimmy, husband Eddy Caito, husband Dale Spence, son Anthony Spence, and son Rodney Caito.

She is survived by her children, Mike Caito of Oregon, Barbara Cimino of Hawaii, Sherry Caito of Idaho, Chris Spence of Florida, Danielle Spence of AZ, and Eric Spence of PA, 18 grandchildren and many many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Betty was surely loved and will be greatly missed both by her family, friends, and everyone else that she blessed with her presence.
