Beverly Glassen, 80, of Boise, died Friday, April 15, 2011, in a local care center.
Beverly was born on February 11, 1931 to David L. Clark and Elizabeth F. Fouts, in The Dalles, Oregon. She graduated from Nampa High and worked as a cosmetologist in both Nampa and Boise. She was also a tutor for the Boise School District until her retirement. Besides Boise, Beverly also resided for a time in Anchorage, Alaska. Beverly was always an active person throughout her life in arts and crafts. In the late 60’s, she was very supportive for many years of the EH-Capa Bareback Riders, where she would go to many rodeos and paint Indian Symbols on the kids before they would perform After retirement, she traveled all over the world, and was always packing her suitcase with color crayons, pens, and pencils, to give to children in needy countries. . Beverly was also well known for her love of Pepsi!
Beverly is survived by her children, Shagay Gregory, of Boise, Charleen and Howey Roberts of Boise, and Hugh and Linda Maffett, of Bellingham, Washington; her grandchildren, Aimee Gregory, of Nampa, Ashley Gregory, of Nampa, Savannah Roberts, of Boise, Aaron Roberts, of Boise, Katherine Roberts of Olympia, Washington, and Olivia Maffett of Bellingham, Washington; her great-grandchildren, Shareena Bentley, Gregory Bentley, and Madison Bentley, all of Nampa.
Beverly was preceded in death by her parents Elizabeth and Frank Engkraf; and her sisters, Nadine Hunt and Jody Kilduff.
