Beverly Weybright Beirnes McKellip died on May 2, 2016 at a local hospital. Beverly was born on September 19, 1928, at Boise, Idaho, to Kenneth N. Weybright and Hazel Seaman Weybright, the youngest of five children. Having lived in Boise all her life, she attended Roosevelt Elementary School, North Junior High, and Boise High School, graduating in 1946.
In March, 1947, Bev married Monty Sallee, and two daughters were born of this union, Allyson Kaye and Tawny Lea. Monty and Bev were later divorced. On October 1, 1960, Bev married A. Lloyd Beirnes in Winnemucca, Nevada, and they were married until the time of Lloyd’s death in 2002. In August, 2006, Beverly married Dean McKellip.
Beverly worked as a legal secretary in Boise for 40 years, retiring in 1993, and was president of the Southwest Idaho Legal Secretaries Association (which it was then called) for several years.
Lloyd and Beverly were charter members of Crane Creek Country Club, a membership which she still retains. She had been a member of the First United Methodist Church in Boise since 1957. She is also a member of the United Methodist Women.
Bev and Dean took many trips together, both in Europe, Alaska and the United States, which they both enjoyed very much.
She enjoyed playing golf, Mah Jongg and bridge and was always “working” on a counted cross-stitch project, knitting or crocheting, the results of which were usually passed on to her two children, grandchildren and friends. She won several blue ribbons at the Western Idaho State Fair for her cross-stitch projects.
Bev is survived by her husband, Dean McKellip; two children, Allyson K. Kousky (Richard) and Tawny L. Aldrich (Ken), of Boise, Idaho; three stepchildren, Sandra Foster (Bill), Mike Beirnes of Kent, Washington, and Randy McKellip of Boise, Idaho; six grandchildren, Meia, Bree, Jade, Kirby, Jeff, Dan, Kayla, and Kirstyn, and six great-grandchildren; one brother, Walter Weybright(Ann), of San Francisco, California. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Beirnes; her father, Kenneth Weybright; her mother, Hazel Fuller; her stepfather, E. L. “Shorty” Fuller; and her brothers, Bob Weybright and Marvin Weybright.
Funeral services will be held at Alden-Waggoner Chapel, 5400 Fairview, Boise, Idaho, on Monday, May 9, 2016, at 10 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, it is suggested that memorials be made to the Idaho Food Bank, Boise Rescue Mission, or to a favorite charity.
