Blaine graduated from high school in Nyssa, Oregon where he found his best friend and soul mate, Joanne Zinn. Joanne and Blaine were married on a spring afternoon April 18, 1958, in her parents’ home.
Blaine was happiest among friends and family at his side. If you knew Blaine, you were his friend!! He was a master at fishing, often bringing in the first, the biggest and the most fish with his wife, family and friends! He loved rubbing his fishing skills in, and he was always the one to beat! He enjoyed the outdoors and spent several decades on Anderson Ranch Lake, starting with the fifth wheel at Fall Creek and then a home in Pine Idaho. Once Joanne retired, they enjoyed many years together living in Pine Idaho. If they weren’t fishing, exploring on 4 wheelers or the side by side in the summer, they were snow machining in the winter. Blaine enjoyed cruising his neighborhood removing snow and cleaning driveways in his skidster for his neighbors and friends. He even became a volunteer ambulance driver!
Blaine was well traveled and spoke fondly of his voyages through the years. He was always up for a new adventure. His family and friends can honor his memory by living their lives to the fullest.
