Carl was born March 10, 1913, at Ridgeway, Iowa. He was the
son of Fred and Carolyn Albertson. After graduating from Ridgeway High School,
he completed a course in jewelry and watch repair and was employed by Soukup’s
Jewelry Store. He entered the Service in 1941 and served with the 13
th
Air Force on islands in the Pacific. When he returned in two years he owned and
operated Albertson Jewelers in Decorah, Iowa, until 1958. During this time, he
was active in scouting and other civic activities. In 1958 he and his family
moved to Boise and purchased the Boy’s World and Student Shop which they
operated until 1970. In 1971 he married Dorothy Lee. He was employed at K-Lee’s
Diamonds at Karcher Mall where he worked until 1984 when he retired. He has
been an active member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and Good Shepherd Lutheran Church
since 1958.
One of his hobbies during retirement was playing golf- not
only for the game but the serenity of the courses both inspired and relaxed
him. He was interested in collector cars; Mustangs were his special interest
and he had two of them.
He was much loved by his family and friends because of his
good sense of humor, his friendliness, and understanding.
Survivors include his two sons and their wives, Gerald and
Millie Albertson of Puyallup, Washington and James and Judy Albertson of Ozark,
Missouri, one grandson, Steven Albertson of Westminster, Colorado and Boise,
Idaho.

Albertson, of Boise, and Mark and Tammy Albertson of Petaluma, California, step-children
