Carol Ann Stauth Hansen
of Boise, Idaho passed away August 2, 2013 of natural causes.
A private inurnment will be held at
Dry Creek Cemetery.
A memorial service will be held at Wright
Community Congregational Church, 4821 W.
Franklin Rd., Boise, on Thursday, August 8, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. Services are
under the direction of the Alden-Waggoner Funeral Chapel.
Carol Stauth Hansen was born on
January 1, 1934 in Dodge City Kansas to James Charles Stauth and Evelyn Christy
Stauth. She moved with her family to Idaho in 1949 and graduated from
Boise High School in 1952. She obtained
an Associates Degree from Boise Junior College in 1954. The same year, Carol married Jack Hans Hansen
on July 18,1954. They remained married for 59 years.
Once Boise State became a 4 year
college, she received a B.B.A, with an emphasis in Business Education in 1971.
Upon completion of college she taught Business Education for Nampa School
District for three years. Thereafter, she was employed by the Internal Revenue
Service where she remained for 28 years.
Carol is survived by her
husband, Jack Hansen; their children, Chris (Karen) Hansen; Shawna (Sam)
Maggard; her sister, Janet Dietsch; three grandchildren, Adam and Ryan Hansen
and Shyla Maggard; and several nieces and nephews.
Carol enjoyed traveling with Jack,
her craft club, supporting Boise State football and basketball. She also
enjoyed their socializing with their many
friends in the square dancing clubs and her craft club.
