Chandelle Martinez

Chandelle Lynn (Waugh) Martinez lost her battle with cancer and blood clots on March 6, 2023.  Cremation is under the direction of Alden-Waggoner Funeral Home.

Chandelle was born on January 16, 1975 in Boise to Gayle (Shank)”Stormy” Waugh and William Lee Waugh.   Her dad was a pilot and the name’ Chandelle’ is an aerobatic term meaning “high speed climbing performance turn”.  She lived her life the same.

She made friends easily and loved being around people.  Chandelle was easy to talk to and listened to her family and friends.   She had a heart of gold and would help anyone in need. If you were lucky enough to call her friend, you were friends for life.  Needless to say, she also loved a good party too.  She and Cris more often than not, were the last to leave.

Chandelle was mother to 2 children, Jaden Eugene Chapman and Stormie Lee Jones.

On April 11, 2008   Chandelle married Crispin Martinez.  Together they had a wonderful life supporting each other.  The term “in sickness and health” was certainly true in their marriage.  Cris cared for her 24/7.

She earned a degree as a CNA and an MA, working in a doctor’s office for many years. She also worked for a drug testing company, an insurance office, and her favorite job as a bar tender.  She loved people.

She is preceded in death by her parents when she was 6. Her Grandmother Clara Coomb and step Dad Stanley Coomb, and her maternal grandfather Bill Shank.  Her step sister, Elizabeth Boguslawski.

Chandelle is survived by her husband, Crispin Martinez, her children, Jaden Chapman and Stormie Jones.  Also by her adoptive parents Linda and Virgil Ropp, Sister Dawn Burrow and Brother John Compton.  Her Extended family Jason Ropp and Amy Ray, Bryan and Lisa Ropp and Curtis Boguslawski,  As well as many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at Elks Lodge , 1015 No. Kimball , Caldwell on April 8, from 2 to 6 pm.   All are welcome.  Chandelle would not have it any other way.
