Cleone Vera Pierce, née Ulrich, 82, passed away Thursday night, April 7th, surrounded by her loved ones in the family home.
She was born September 14, 1933 in Cathay, North Dakota; the daughter of Gordon and Hilda Ulrich and sister to Kenneth Ulrich.
Cleone and her family moved to Boise in 1946, where she attended North Junior High and graduated from Boise High School in 1951. She began her professional career after graduating from Boise Business College where she worked for many years with Dr. Privett, Dr. Hedemark, and the State of Idaho.
Cleone was an amazing daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and always a dependable friend. She filled her home with the warmth of friends and family, lured in with her vivacious personality and the aroma of something delicious being prepared for each planned and every unexpected guest. Her laughter would fill the room and invite all to join in the mirth and merriment, and her smile would brighten the gloomiest of days. Her kindness and generosity will be missed.
Her mother, father, daughter Gretchen, and granddaughter Carey preceded Cleone in death. She is survived by her spouse, Robert Pierce, and her children, Jenny (Charlie) Schmoeger, Gordon (Eleanor) Milford, Kimberly (Ed) Hickman, Robert (Chris) Pierce Jr., Lynda (Larry) Dean, and Diane (Len) Morris. She has 23 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
There will be a reception at Robert and Cleone’s home on Saturday, April 16th from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.
