Cody: Until We See You Again
On January 27th, 1993, Cody Lyle
Dossett was born to his loving parents Eric and Melanie Dossett. Cody's
kind and caring heart, gentle nature, and giving attitude will be cherished by
his parents, his sister Caitlin, his Nana (Margaret Odle), grandparents (Dan
& Bonnie Dossett, Kirk & Cynda Huff, Jack & Debbie McVey, and Linda
& Joe Sirani), aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He will be fondly
remembered and greatly missed by all who knew him.
Cody was a kind-hearted young man
with a zest and a passion for life. He greatly loved his family and was loved
by them in return. He would gladly help others, willingly putting forth
the extra effort needed to give his assistance to those in need. Cody’s very
nature drew people to him, bringing a wealth of friends into his life; they
will remember him as an integral part of their own lives. Unfortunately,
the Cody we all loved struggled with an alcohol addiction that would ultimately
take his life and leave us bereft of his presence. Cody found peace on
August 4
th
, 2015, when he returned to the loving arms of the Lord
and was reunited with his Papa, Lyle Odle. We pray that the struggle and
tragedy our family has experienced will serve as a lesson that will ultimately
assist others in finding the strength to overcome their own difficulties.
Special thanks to his grandparents,
Uncle Chris and Aunt Amber McVey, Aunt Tonya, Yvonne, James, Uncle Kevin and
Scott, Aunt Amy and Life Counseling Center for all of their support through
this difficult time. Also, special thanks, blessings, and prayers to Blake and
Tristen for risking their own lives in attempting to save his. A special
thanks also to the Canyon County Sheriff's office, Owyhee County Sheriff's
office, and all the volunteers who were helping in the search for Cody.
Without all these departments and individuals
assisting, we would never have found him.
Our own thoughts and prayers go out to his good friends Travis, Alex,
and Sam and to his loving girlfriend Jazzmyn. We want to thank everyone who
sent prayers and kind words to the family. The service will be held on
Thursday, August 13th, 2015, at 7:00 p.m., Municipal Park Shelter 1, 500 S
Walnut St., Boise, Idaho.
