Colleen Ford, 80, of
Meridian, died Saturday, December 31, 2011 in a Meridian hospital of natural
causes.
At Colleen’s request, no
services will be held. Arrangements are
under the direction of the Alden-Waggoner Funeral Chapel & Crematory.
Colleen was born on April 2,
1931 in Flat River, Missouri, the daughter of Margaret Williams Gallagher and
Jack Gallagher. She graduated from Cliff
High School in Cliff, New Mexico in 1949.
On October 13, 1950, Colleen married Donald W. Ford in Hurley, New
Mexico. They lived around Silver City,
NM until moving to Meridian, ID in 1996.
Colleen worked for Mountain
Bell Telephone Company in Silver City, NM and for the town of Hurley, NM.
Her special interests were
reading, golfing, oil painting and jigsaw puzzles.
Survivors include her spouse,
Donald, of 61 years; daughter, Linda Perkins
and her spouse, Marv, of Meridian;
granddaughter, Brianna Stafford, and her spouse, Jake, of Meridian; and sisters, Fay Pierce and Betty Bierner,
both of Albuquerque, NM. She was
preceded in death by her parents and one brother, John Dinwiddie.
