Connie Jo (Loepp) Robertson

Connie Jo (Loepp) Robertson, 57, went home to be with her Savior, May 31, 2011 at her Boise home as a result of metastatic breast cancer. Born in Boise on August 31, 1953 to David and Bertha Loepp, Connie was the 2nd of 6 children and the oldest girl. She attended schools in Mountain Home and Boise, graduating from Capital High School in 1971. She was a drill team captain and avid Eagle supporter. February 11, 1978, Connie married her high school sweetheart, Thomas M. Robertson and together they raised 3 children.

A born leader, Connie was vivacious and the life of every party and family gathering. Her quirky sense of humor kept us laughing! She excelled at being the center of attention and flashing those dazzling dimples. She truly enjoyed being with people and her involvement in community service projects. She loved music, writing and reciting poetry, time at the ranch, camping, and Bunko. She loved her family, her many friends, her kitties, and her precious little dachshund Heidi.

Connie began her 18-year career in banking as a teller at Idaho First National Bank. After serving in a variety of positions, she was eventually promoted to Customer Service Manager at West One (US Bank) Eagle Branch. She later worked several years for the State of Idaho in Child Support Services.

After giving her heart to Jesus, Connie’s life overflowed with her deep love for God. “He always makes me smile with the joy He fills in my heart. He makes me feel like shining!” And she did shine—brightly! Connie trusted that He was driving her bus and invited everyone to ride along. She attended Meridian Assembly of God and loved her pastors and church family.

Connie Jo was diagnosed and treated for breast cancer in 2004. We learned in December 2010 that the cancer had metastasized with a vengeance. We had 5 short months to embrace her.

Family was significant to Connie’s life. She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Bertha, and is survived by the love of her life and husband of 33 years, Tom; her daughter, Brandi (Scott) Hurless; two sons, Ryan Robertson and Russell (Melissa) Robertson; precious grandchildren Kierstan, Alesa, and Austin Hurless; and Carter and Landon Robertson. She is also survived by siblings Frank Jakomeit, Karen Orsborn, Ellen Bright, Elsie Boyd Severn, and Gary Loepp. She loved Tom’s siblings as her own, Cindy Robertson, Karen Robertson, Bill Robertson, Lorrie Robertson, and Debbie Walker. She also loved her special sisters, Julie Scanlin and Kathy Ingraham.

If there ever comes a day we can’t be together keep me in your heart, I’ll stay there forever. –Winnie the Pooh
