David Gordon St. George of Kuna, Idaho, passed away on
Saturday, November 17, 2018. He passed peacefully as he took his last breath on
this earth, and then with his next, was received into the arms of Jesus. Heaven
is rejoicing!
David enjoyed his 37 years with Idaho Power before retiring.
For him, the greater the challenge the more he enjoyed working on the project. Anything
to do with power lines or poles, dams, transformers, substations, or anything
electrical always intrigued him.
Music was a vital part of David’s life. He had an incredible
tenor voice. He enjoyed traveling with the King’s Witnesses where he played
trombone, bass guitar and sang. He was best known for singing “He’s
Alive”.
He loved life, fun and pranks and
brought all that and more to the group. Ministering was David’s greatest joy in
life. His love for the Lord and seeing people come to know Jesus were his
greatest treasures.
David’s ministry continued when he became the Royal Ranger
Commander for the Southern Idaho District for 17 years. This was a ministry for
boys. He poured everything he had into this ministry to see boys surrender
their lives to the Lord. David was also a member of the Frontier Camping
Fellowship (FCF) and rightly given the name “Big Hart”.
Big Hart was so fitting for him because his
heart was BIG, kind, gentle and compassionate, all of which created a wonderful
and contented man.
David is survived by his wife, Marlene, and their three
children, Amy (Mark) Duenas, Jason (Jackie) St. George, and Brent (Stevie) St.
George. David was also blessed with
eighteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, along
with numerous nieces and nephews. He LOVED his family and all the times he
spent with them.
David is preceded in death by his mother, Colleene, and just
this year his father, Gordon and twin brother Roger.
David was a wonderful husband and father, man of God, and
steadfast servant, who exemplified a Godly life to everyone he encountered. His
word was his word.
Sweet David, you have
left a void in our hearts and an enduring impression on our family, friends,
and to those whose lives you touched. You will be greatly missed and know you
are loved more than words could ever say. As a dear friend told me – “Expect to
cry lots . . . David is worth every tear”, how true.
I Love you!
A celebration of David’s life will be held at Changed Life
Church in Kuna, Idaho, on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at 2:00 pm.
