David Lewis Pulliam Sr. (Papa Duck) 66 years old passed away
on Mach 12, 2019 in Boise, Id. David was born on January 15, 1953 in Helena, MT
to Lewis and Ann Pulliam. He graduated from Meridian High school in 1971. He
enlisted in the US Navy in 1972 and served on the USS Kitty Hawk and USS
Enterprise until 1976. In 1977 he joined the US Army and served until 1986. He
also worked as a Mechanic in his later years.
He married Janna Weisgerber in November of 1976, they had
three beautiful children Leslie Griffiths, David Pulliam Jr. and Lewis Pulliam.
Janna and David divorced in 1990 and he moved to Boise, ID.
David loved life and enjoyed the small things; he was always
cracking jokes and made sure everyone was laughing around him. He was an avid
outdoorsman and many knew how much he loved going to hunting camp. He enjoyed
leather crafting, collecting guns, reloading and as he would say “looking up
dead people” (genealogy). He really enjoyed being with family, his dogs (Amos
and Andi) and riding his Harley.
David was an amazing man and all who knew him would say so,
he lived by the old code that a hand shake means everything and he was always
true to his word. He is so loved by many and will be missed immensely.
David is survived by Gaile Budell (his soulmate), children
Leslie Griffiths ( Loren), David Pulliam Jr. (Shaney) and Lewis Pulliam.
Grandchildren Ethan, Jayden, Traven, Trinity, Avery, Rhys, Kale, Bryn and Cole
and Great Grandchildren Ryker, Rylee and Baby Alexander.
David is preceded in death by his grandmother Grace Anders,
parents Lewis and Ann Pulliam and his aunt Carol Jester.
Funeral arrangements will be announced at a later date. In
lieu of flowers donations would be appreciated to the Wounded Warriors or DAV.
