Dennis A. Coughlin
Dennis
A. Coughlin, of Boise, died at 7:02 p.m. Saturday, November 26, 2017 from
injuries sustained in a fall. He was born August 31, 1945 in Detroit,
Michigan where he grew up. He served in the United States Air Force from
1966-1970 and retired from Ford Motor Company after 33 years of service.
Dennis was an avid runner and until his accident, he ran 3-5 miles every other
day. He moved from Michigan to Boise, Idaho in 2001.
Dennis is survived by his son and
daughter-in-law, Scott and Melissa Coughlin of Livonia, MI; grand-daughter,
Krystal Coughlin and great-grandson, Cory of Abbeville, LA;
step-grandson, Brandon of Grand Rapids, MI;
step-daughter and husband,
Angela and Don Morris; Angela’s children, Brittany Vaughan of Twin Falls, ID and
E
vyan Keller of Boise, ID;
sister, Nancy Coughlin of Trenton, MI; brother, Mike Coughlin of Livonia, MI;
his life-partner of 21 years, Kelli Rawson
and her children, Kristopher Rawson of
Boise, ID and Chelsi Hoch, of Emmett ID.
Dennis
is preceded in death by his parents, Paul and M. Joyce Rhoads Coughlin; his
sister, Christine Coughlin Barnard and much beloved great aunt Margaret Hasley
Cox.
To
celebrate Dennis's life, please join us at Payette Brewing located at River and
13th Street in Boise on Thursday 11/30 from 3 – 6 p.m.
We have been asked where donations can be made in Dennis's honor. The
family would like for any donations to be made to St Alphonsus Hospital in
Boise, ID.
The
care that Dennis received there was truly above and beyond anything that we
possibly could have imagined. The Staff and Nurses were truly first rate,
and took care of the entire family every single step of the way.
We
will be forever grateful for the incredible efforts that the hospital gave to
save Dennis's life
