Dennis Cuningham,
75, of Garden City, passed away Thursday, October 29, 2015 at home of natural
causes.
Dennis was born
February 18, 1940 in Cambridge, Idaho, the son of Joel and Bertha Wallace
Cuningham. He grew up in that area receiving his schooling at Rush Creek,
Idaho. On December 25, 1959 Dennis
married Wanda Lee Smith in Garden City.
He
was employed for
many years at the Boise School District where he worked as a painter.
His first project with the school district was to paint the
outside of Boise High School.
Dennis enjoyed
gardening, fishing, and hunting. He
enjoyed his family and especially loved his grandchildren. He lived his faith as an example to his
children and their families.
Dennis was a member
of the Followers of Christ. He loved the
brethren and his faith was very important to him.
He is survived by
Wanda, his wife of fifty-five years.
With Wanda he raised eight children, Denice, Jess (Tammy), Lanita
(Jeff), Nancy (Duane), Loretta (Steve), Rita, Janeen, and
Loren (Sadie) and one niece Reena (Tim); twenty grandchildren; eight
great grandchildren; one sister Idell Craig; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in
death by his parents, Joel and Bertha Cuningham; five brothers and four
sisters.
A viewing will be
held at the Alden-Waggoner Funeral Chapel, on Sunday, November 1, from 2:00
p.m. until 6:00 p.m. A graveside service
will be held on Monday, November 2 at 2:00 p.m., at Dry Creek Cemetery.
