Dennis was born on December 29, 1938 to Lee Earl and Mabel Murfin (Signa Mabel Havelin) in Boise.
He grew up in Idaho City, where his mom and dad owned Lee’s café.
He was a graduate of Meridian High School.
Dennis married Yvonne in Boise.
During his life, Dennis worked at Idaho Power, Pumus Bricks, Ore-Ida, Key Bank, and after retirement, he and his loving wife were campground hosts at Baumgartner Campground for 9 years. He also enjoyed leather work and created wallets, purses, and belts. Dennis also enjoyed time outdoors by camping, fishing, and hunting.
The U.S. Dept of Agriculture recognized the work and outstanding customer service at Baumgartner Campground and gave an award to Dennis and Yvonne. He also received an award for Fairfield Ranger District, Sawtooth National Forest, 1997 – 2005 (along with mascot Barney (dog)).
He is preceded in death by Lee Earl (Father), Signa “Mabel” Murfin (Mom), Gerald Lyn Earl (Son), Yvonne Earl (Wife), and Juneil Earl (Granddaughter).
Dennis is survived by: daughters Michelle Motley (husband Brian) of Meridian, Angie Garmen of Nampa, and 1 other loving daughter from Oregon; step-kids, Barry, of Kuna, Bridget Santoyo, of Boise, Julie Forsythe, of Washington; Brother, Lee Earl, of Emmett; numerous nieces and nephews, 11 grandkids, and his loving cat of 18 years, Meko.
