Don Greg Stivers

Don Greg Stivers, 57, of Boise, Idaho, after a courageous battle with a Glioblastoma Brain Tumor, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 8, 2013, surrounded by family and friends.  We have comfort in knowing Don is with the Lord and his suffering is over.

Don was born on September 9, 1955 in Boise, Idaho to George W. Stivers and Luella (Robison) Stivers.  Don attended Boise State University and joined the United States Navy, serving on the USS Cunningham.  While in the Navy he received electronics training in weaponry and radar.  After his military service he worked as an Electronics Technician for the National Interagency Fire Center.

On November 6, 2010, Don married Teresa Flesch in Boise, Idaho.

Don was an artist, movie buff, a standup comedian and an actor.  He enjoyed photography, fishing and target practicing.  Favorite memories include a Hawaiian cruise and helicopter rides taken in January of this year with his wife Teresa.

He was a member of Mensa and a Science Fiction Club.

Survivors include his wife, Teresa Flesch Stivers, the love of his life;  siblings, Gary and Linda Stivers, Jim and Callae Stivers, and Toni and Rick Smith; a cousin Katie (Randy) Limani;  step-children, Sarah (Kent) Bowman, Casimir (Brianna) Sowinski and Paul Sowinski;  grandchildren; special friends, Victor Salazar and Garth Sickles; and numerous nieces and nephews. Don was a very kind considerate man and was always helping someone in need.  Although Don suffered a serious motorcycle accident in 1986 and had numerous health problems - - it never broke his spirit and he lived life to the fullest.  He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
