Donald Jackson

Donald R. Jackson was born November 21, 1938 in Boise, Idaho to Eula Gazele Clapsaddle of Mitchell, South Dakota and Linden Ray Jackson of Rexburg, Idaho.  Later on his parents had his sister Claudene.  He spent his youth in Boise, Idaho where he attended Boise High School until enlisting in the U.S. Army in the early 1960’s.  He was stationed in La Rochelle, France where he served as part of the Terminal Operations Group handling day to day administrative duties from 1961 to 1964. He was one of the last U.S. military personnel to leave France.  He came home and held several jobs, from working in a mobile home factory, to cutting hair for many years, until becoming employed with Hewlett Packard where he worked until he retired after 20+ years of service. He lived out the rest of his life in Meridian, I D.  He was preceded in death by his Mother, Father and Sister, also his beloved step daughter Dena Hagler.  He is survived by his sons, grandsons, granddaughters, two nieces and a nephew.  He will be dearly missed.  Love you Dad.  Services will be conducted by the Alden-Waggoner Funeral Chapel.  A graveside ceremony will be held at the Idaho Veterans Cemetery on Friday, December 5 th , 2014 at 1 PM and a reception will follow at the 2 nd floor banquet room of The Traymore Apartments at 1103 W. Pine Ave. Meridian, ID.
