Donald Noteboom,

Don passed away at a local hospital on Sunday, February 9, 2014. Don fell on Dec. 22, 2013, and broke his hip, leading to his death.


He was born in Pierre, South Dakota, to Ira and Alice  Noteboom on Jan. 18, 1932. He was the youngest of 11 children. On April 17, 1955, he married the love of his life, Shirley Olson. They would have been married 59 years in April.  Don started working for the Air National Guard and had 38 years of military experience.  Four years in the Air Force, and 34 years in the Air Guard.  He loved his job, and the people in the guard were like his family. He is survived by his wife, Shirley; 3 sons, Craig,  Cris (Tina), and  Curtis (Julie); 9 grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren, and 2 great granddaughters; 2 sisters, Lorraine Vis (Leonard) and Ruth Potter (Jerry); and numerous nieces and nephews.

The viewing will be from 5 - 8 on Monday, Feb. 17, at Alden-Waggoner Funeral Chapel.  Services will be at 1 p.m. at Alden-Waggoner followed by a short graveside at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held at Alden-Waggoner at 4 p.m.
