Donna Jean Durst Crisp Mitchell
Donna Jean Durst Crisp Mitchell was born August 4, 1926 in
Furnas County, Nebraska to Lee W. & Ruth Hedges Durst, and passed away
Sunday, March 01, 2015. She attended
school through 6
th
grade in Nebraska, then moved with her parents to
Boise, ID in 1938, where she graduated from Boise High School in 1944. Donna married Richard Crisp on Sept. 2, 1945,
but they divorced in 1967. She then
married Arthur Mitchell June 22, 1973.
He died in 1985.
Donna worked her first job in high school at Murray’s Drive
in, and had many jobs in banking and as a bookkeeper until she retired in 2000. Her last 20 years of working was spent at
Frontier Tire, a job she dearly loved.
She was active in Grange, PTA, and was a past matron of Eastern Star, as
well as being a member of Collister United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her children Randy (Susan) Crisp, Ken
(Bonnie) Crisp, Terry (Deb) Crisp and Becky (Clint) Greene, 14 grandchildren
and 15 great-grandchildren. Preceding
her in death were her parents, husband Art, daughter Kathy Parker, and
son-in-law Merlin Parker.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday,
March 5, at Dry Creek Cemetery, 9600 W. Hill Rd., Boise. Following, the family invites you to join us
for a memorial luncheon at the Meridian United Methodist Church Fellowship
Hall, 235 E. Pine Ave., Meridian.
In lieu of flowers, Donna asked donations be made to
Collister United Methodist Church.
