Our precious son and brother, Doug Rosenberger, died February 7, 2022 in a Boise hospital following complications from surgery. He is now resting and rejoicing in the love of Jesus in Heaven where he has always longed to be. What a comfort it is to know that!
Doug was born October 23, 1960 in the Caldwell Memorial Hospital, to Carol Bednarek Rosenberger and Donald Rosenberger. The family lived in Caldwell until 1964 when they moved to Boise.
Doug was born with cerebral palsy and attended Lincoln School where he received a fine education for children with special needs. After the age of 21 he was home with his father and mother who blessed him with their loving care because he was a wonderful gift of God, entrusted to them.
Doug’s life was filled with things and places that he enjoyed: worshiping at church, attending Christian concerts, school concerts, and sports activities. He enjoyed watching track meets, football games and basketball games. He had an incredible God given ability to remember names, songs, and much other stuff. He loved interacting with people when given the chance, but his speech was hard to understand and it took patience for the listener to wait until Doug finished. He enjoyed keeping photos that his brother had looked for and printed out, well over 1000 of them. He was kept busy!
Doug’s survivors include his mother, Carol; brother, Craig & wife, Shawna, all of Boise; a number of aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his wonderful dad, “Rosie.”
We just loved Doug so much, but know that someday we’ll be in Heaven with him so the parting is only temporary.
There will be a viewing at the Alden-Waggoner Funeral Chapel, 5400 Fairview Ave, Boise, on Thursday, Feb. 10, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, followed by a 2:00 p.m. graveside service at Canyon Hill Cemetery, Caldwell, ID (off the 10th Ave. exit & turn right) at the top of Canyon Hill, with Kevin Kircher officiating.
