The world was blessed on
March 18

1945
with the birth of
Clarence Dwayne Ward to Clarence Jeffery “Jack” and Etta Evelyn Wilson Ward in
Great Bend
,
Kansas
.
He graduated from
Lewis
High School
in
Lewis
,
Kansas
,
class of 1963. He then attended
Hutchinson
Community College
before
enlisting in the Navy in 1965 where he became an electronics technician. He was
honorably discharged in 1969. From there he went on to attend Emporia State
Teacher’s College,
Emporia
,
Kansas
where he received his
teaching degree in Industrial Arts. Later, Dwayne found his calling in the
Manufactured Housing Industry where he had a long fulfilling career, eventually
owning his own business, For-Ward Homes Inc, in
Caldwell
,
Idaho
.
Early on in his career he was transferred to
California
where he met
the love of his life, Christine E Young. They wed
June 8
th
1974
and he became Dad to
Steven, Jeff and Jody and in November of 1975 they completed their family with
Mandy.
Dwayne and Chris then moved their family to beautiful
Boise
,
Idaho
in February of 1977. He continued his career within the Manufactured Housing
Industry where he established a reputation of honesty and integrity with anyone
he had the privilege to know.
Dwayne, aka, the workaholic, always found time to attend his
children’s activities whether it was a school play or a sporting event. Family
time was something he always made time for and it was very important to
him. Spending time with his three
sisters in
Alaska
and
Hawaii
was something that he always looked forward to. Most of all he enjoyed time
with his wife, children and grandchildren.
Some of this time was spent doing such things as attending Boise Hawks
baseball games, watching and supporting Boise State Sports and spending time at
their cabin in
Donnelly
,
Idaho
, where one of his last adventures was
building a tree house for all his grandchildren to enjoy.
In early 2013, Dwayne was diagnosed with Lymphoma. He and
his family were blessed with another year of his presence until he left this
life on
March 21
st
2014
.
He is preceded in death by his parents, two infant brothers,
mother-in-law, father-in-law, brother-in-law and daughter-in-law. He is
survived by his wife, Christine of 39 years, their children, Steven, Jeffery,
Jody (Brian) and Mandy (Justin). Nine grandchildren, Michael (Rachel), Katelyn,
Nicholas, Connor, Chloe,
Courtney
,
Jordan
, Jack
and Ava. Three great-grandchildren, Camry, Cierra,
Milo
and a new great-grandson due in May of this year. Sisters,
Marietta
(Irvin), Donna (Darrell), Carol
(David) and a brother Wesley. Numerous nieces, nephews extended family and
friends.
Your presence in our life will forever be missed but your presence
in our heart will live forever. We love
you……bye, just for now and until we meet again.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at 11:30 a.m., at Alden-Waggoner Funeral Chapel, Boise. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 p.m., at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery, Boise.
