Dwayne Ward

3-18-1945 to 3-21-2014

The world was blessed on March 18 th 1945 with the birth of Clarence Dwayne Ward to Clarence Jeffery “Jack” and Etta Evelyn Wilson Ward in Great Bend , Kansas .
He graduated from Lewis High School in Lewis , Kansas , class of 1963. He then attended Hutchinson Community College before enlisting in the Navy in 1965 where he became an electronics technician. He was honorably discharged in 1969. From there he went on to attend Emporia State Teacher’s College, Emporia , Kansas where he received his teaching degree in Industrial Arts. Later, Dwayne found his calling in the Manufactured Housing Industry where he had a long fulfilling career, eventually owning his own business, For-Ward Homes Inc, in Caldwell , Idaho .

Early on in his career he was transferred to California where he met the love of his life, Christine E Young. They wed June 8 th 1974 and he became Dad to Steven, Jeff and Jody and in November of 1975 they completed their family with Mandy.

Dwayne and Chris then moved their family to beautiful Boise , Idaho in February of 1977. He continued his career within the Manufactured Housing Industry where he established a reputation of honesty and integrity with anyone he had the privilege to know.

Dwayne, aka, the workaholic, always found time to attend his children’s activities whether it was a school play or a sporting event. Family time was something he always made time for and it was very important to him.  Spending time with his three sisters in Alaska and Hawaii was something that he always looked forward to. Most of all he enjoyed time with his wife, children and grandchildren.  Some of this time was spent doing such things as attending Boise Hawks baseball games, watching and supporting Boise State Sports and spending time at their cabin in Donnelly , Idaho , where one of his last adventures was building a tree house for all his grandchildren to enjoy.

In early 2013, Dwayne was diagnosed with Lymphoma. He and his family were blessed with another year of his presence until he left this life on March 21 st 2014 .

He is preceded in death by his parents, two infant brothers, mother-in-law, father-in-law, brother-in-law and daughter-in-law.
