Edith V. (Moon) Hagler, a wife, mom, grandma, great-grandma, sister, aunt, cousin and dear friend met up with many family members in Heaven. Edith, who celebrated her 90th birthday with a party just last month, died peacefully in her sleep on Thursday night.
Edith’s life reads of loving and serving others for her 90 years. Edith was born in Nampa and raised in Caldwell, Idaho, married her grade school sweetheart, Gene Hagler in 1946, and together they raised two children, Michael and Deborah.
She is survived by her children, both living in the Treasure Valley, their spouses, Kathy Hagler and Glen Allen, two grandsons, Michael Hagler and Andy Allen, and two great-granddaughters, Branden and Bella Allen. She is also survived by her sister Frieda Armstrong and two brothers Carol Moon and Paul Moon. Edith was preceded in death by her husband, Gene, and a grandson, Jeff Hagler. She missed them both very much.
She was a member and a volunteer at the University Christian Church in Boise. Services will be held there on Tuesday, May 17 at 10:00 am. There will be a brief reception at the church following the service. Services are under the direction of Alden-Waggoner Funeral Chapel, Boise.
In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to the Bishop Kelly Scholarship Fund or your favorite charity in Edith’s name.
The family would like to thank “Assisting Hands Home Care” and “Harrison’s Hope Hospice” for their gentle, loving touch on her life.
She will be missed so much!
