Edna M. Evans

Edna was born December 18, 1927 in Caldwell, Idaho, the ninth child of Theodor and Christina Link. She attended Roosevelt Grade School and Meridian High School. Edna married Marvin Evans on April 18, 1947 in Nampa, Idaho. Edna was a charter member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church since 1950.

Edna worked in the accounting profession retiring in April 1993. After retiring Edna had four wonderful summers working in National Parks. She was a volunteer at St. Alphonsus Medical Center, Central District Health, and the Morrison Center.

Edna is survived by her four children, Chris Rife of Salem, Oregon, Bev Evans of Boise, Colleen McKenzie (Gary) of Wilsonville, Oregon, and Greg Evans (Donna) of Star. Edna had nine grandchildren, Jonathon Murdoch, Brooke Brourman, Jason and Becky Rife, Ryan and Shawn McKenzie, Laura Derrick, Kristi Embry, and Jessica Evans, and 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and all 10 siblings.

The family extends their gratitude to the caretakers at Ashley Manor Assisted Living. The family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Assistance League of Boise.
