Elaine Marie Young, 83, of Boise, ID, passed away in
a local care facility on Saturday, June 21, 2014.
Elaine was born on September 19, 1930, in Boise, ID,
to William L. and Georgia M. (Thompson) Rambo. She attended Garfield Elementary
School, Boise, and graduated from Boise High School. As a young adult, Elaine worked at a local
dry-cleaning plant.
She met Lloyd Young, and they were married in Boise
on Oct. 16, 1959. After her marriage, Elaine chose to stay home and care for
her family and household. She spent most of her life in Boise, but also had the
opportunity to live in Fort Lewis, WA, Fort Sill, OK, and Erlangen, Germany
while Lloyd was serving in the U.S. Army.
Among her hobbies, her favorites were reading and
working crossword puzzles.
Elaine was preceded in death by her parents and
sisters, Betty Loyd and Willa Slusher.
She is survived by her husband, Lloyd Young; son and daughter-in-law,
Bill and Lori Young; grandchildren, Bryce and Nikki (Young) Raan, David and
Tiffany (Young) Di Santo, Jake Young, Dani Young, and Angie Young; and
great-grandchildren, Isaac Di Santo, Tony Di Santo, Matthew Raan, and Lukas
Raan.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 26,
at 10:00 a.m. at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery. Officiating will be
Elaine's son, Rev. Bill Young of Pierce Park Baptist Church. A viewing will be
held at Alden-Waggoner Funeral Chapel, Boise, on Wednesday, June 25, from 5:00
p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
