Evelyn Mae McCoy, 84, of Boise, died on Saturday, December 3, 2016 in a local retirement facility.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 9th, at 10 a.m., at the Maple Grove Chapel, 2323 N. Maple Grove Rd., LDS Ward on the Corner of Maple Grove and Northview. A viewing will start at 9 a.m. in the Relief Society Room preceding the funeral service. Arrangements are under the direction of Alden-Waggoner Funeral Chapel, Boise.
Evelyn was born on February 10, 1932 in Boise, to Lawrence and Marie (Vocu) Thompson. She graduated from Boise High School. Evelyn Married Carl L. McCoy at the Idaho Falls Temple, on November 26, 1952. They lived in Boise, Idaho. Evelyn enjoyed quilting, sewing and tole painting. One of her special interests was genealogy. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Evelyn is survived by her husband, Carl McCoy; children, Greg McCoy, Doug McCoy, Gary McCoy and Carla Poulson; nine grandchildren; and thirteen great grandchildren.
