Ferne Holcomb, 95, died Sunday, September 18, 2011 in a
Milwaukie, Oregon assisted living center.
Ferne was born to Augusta and Burt Patterson, November 21,
1915 in Ustick, Idaho. She graduated
from Boise High School in 1933.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Arthur,
sisters, Mildred Newman, Lois Beaman and Nelma Patterson.
She is survived by her children; Carmen Holcomb, of
Portland, Oregon, Forrest Holcomb (MaryKay) of Sierra Vista, Arizona; her grandchildren, Katharine Holcomb of
Denver, Colorado, Chad Holcomb (Shannon) of Oak Harbor, Washington; and two nieces, Shanon Bivens and Sharon Edgar.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., today (Friday),
September 23, at the Alden-Waggoner Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Dry Creek Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Alden-Waggoner Funeral Chapel,
Boise.
