Florence I. Curtright, 88, of Meridian, passed away on Wed.
Oct. 3, 2012. A graveside service will be held on Fri. Oct. 5, 2012, at 4 p.m.,
at Terrace Lawn Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of
Alden-Waggoner Funeral Chapel, Boise.
Florence was born on April 4, 1924, in Clay Center, Kansas,
to Herbert W. Janson, and Edith Bouden Janson. She graduated from Clay Center
High School, and then received her teaching certificate. She married Riley
Curtright on Oct. 26, 1946 in Kansas City, KS. Together they lived in Overland
Park, KS, and Boise, and Meridian, ID. Florence taught at a normal school in
Kansas before moving to Idaho. She worked as a clerk for the State of Idaho
Dept. of Vital Statistics for 27 yrs. She enjoyed gardening, playing the piano
at church and the Boise Rescue Mission, and singing in choir. She volunteered
at church, AARP, and Good Sam Club. She loved traveling across the U.S. in the

wheel.
Florence was preceded in death by her parents; husband
Riley; two brothers; one sister; and one grandson.
She is survived by her sons, Timothy Curtright (Judy) of
Meridian, and Larry Curtright (Paula) of Kennewick, WA; five grandchildren;
four great grandchildren; a sister, Eliazbeth Zaminsky of VA; and a
sister-in-law, Luella Janson of Boise.
The family would like to thank Treasure Valley Hospice for
their kind help and love during her last days. Memorials may be made to the
Boise Rescue Mission.
