Fran Matthews Stevens, 64, of
Boise, died Sunday, August 10, 2014, in a Boise care center of natural causes.
A memorial service will be
held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, August 24, 2014 at the Agape Christian Worship
Center, 1001 S. Orchard, Boise, ID with Pastor Bryant Townsend
officiating. Committal services will be
held at Dry Creek Cemetery at a later date.
Fran was born on June 12,
1950 in Boise, Idaho, the daughter of Franklin William Matthews II and Margaret
May Hoggan Matthews. She grew up in the
Boise area, graduated from Borah High School, and received her Associates
Degree in Social Work in Seattle, WA. On
April 25, 2000, Fran married Hank Stevens in Elko, NV. They made their home in Boise.
Fran worked for the Community
House Homeless Shelter and El Ada Community Action Agency. Her hobbies were scrapbooking and
crafts. She also enjoyed reading and
taking care of her extended family.
She was a member of the Agape
Christian Worship Center.
Survivors include her
husband, Hank Stevens; children, Maggie and Jason Cote, Vinny Vineyard, Michael
and Kelly Vineyard, and Taneshia Stevens; sisters, Vicky and Don Burwell, and Verona
Stevens; nieces, Brandy and Mark Fox,
Meaghan and Brandon Rader, Deanne Matthews, and Calene and Darrel Cook;
nephews, Mike and Glenda Welch, Joe and Jo Matthews, and Steward Matthews and
ten grandkids.
She was preceded in death
by her parents, Frank and Margaret Matthews and her siblings, Bill Matthews and
Ellison Matthews.
