Frank Malinowski JR, age 79, passed away February 2, 2017 in
Meridian Idaho. Frank was born in
Detroit Michigan to Frank & Elizabeth Malinowski. Frank grew up in Detroit with an engineering
mind, and love of music. Jazz in
particular.
He attended college at Lawrence Institute of Technology in
Michigan where he acquired three separate engineering degrees. His first engineering job was at Ford Motor
Company in Detroit. From there he went
on to work and design at Ling-Tempco-Vought.
While working and living in Detroit he caught the eye and
ear of a beautiful brunette, Beverly, as he played piano at a local club. They were married in Detroit and had two
sons.
Frank’s engineering career took him to Envirco in New
Mexico. The family moved to Albuquerque
in 1973. Frank, Beverly and their sons
thrived on the culture and scenes of the Southwest, and have fond memories and
friendships of their time there.
In 1985 the family moved to Boise, Idaho where Frank accepted
a position at Santa-Clara Plastics. It
was from here he would retire.
Frank & Beverly have belonged to University Christian
Church since 1985 and more recently Parkview Christian Church. Frank was part of the choir and also
volunteered his knowledge to any maintenance items needing repair.
Frank loved all Detroit sports, especially the Red Wings
where his family had friendships with players of the time. He also enjoyed bird hunting, handball, and
all things engineering. There wasn’t a
problem he couldn’t solve. Frank
treasured road trips with his wife, and attending all sporting events his
grandkids were in.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Frank &
Elizabeth Malinowski, and his younger brother Dave Malinowski. He is survived by his wife Beverly, his two
sons, Darrin (Deida), Brian, and his grandchildren Ike & Laine
Malinowski.
A private service was held in his honor. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in
Frank’s memory to the Assistance League of Boise. A local philanthropic program supported by Frank
and Beverly.
