Frank Tschannel, 90, passed
away October 17, 2014 in Boise, Id. surrounded by his immediate family.
Frank was born on June
12, 1924 in St. Paul MN., to Frank and Alice Tschannel. He lived in St.
Paul until he enlisted in the Navy and served in both WWII and the Korean War.
On October 9th 1948 he married Odelah Kastner from Sisseton SD; they lived in
Minnesota until business required the first of what would be many moves in
their lives. They had 2 daughters Deborah and Cheryl and lived most of their
married lives in Los Angeles, California.
Dee and Frank moved to
Boise in 1973 from California. They owned and operated the first
full-service carwash in Boise. Frank's winning charm help him to operate
a successful automobile business and run a 56,000 acre cattle ranch
in Paradise Valley, Nevada.
Dee passed in 1984.
A few years later he married Jane Hansen of Carmel, CA and moved to
Camarillo, CA. where he finally retired and enjoyed playing golf and
flying up until he was 84 years old. In 2012 he moved back to
Boise.
He is survived by his 2
daughters and only grand daughter Christina Tschannel, as well as his Minnesota
family, sister Luann, her husband Mike Feesl and their son Michael
Feesl Jr.
