Harry Eugene (Gene) Liles passed away Oct. 23, 2014, born January
23, 1929 in Parco, WY to Harry A. Liles & Georgia E. Winkelman. Gene, a life
long Boise resident, graduated from Boise High School in 1948 & attended
Boise Junior College for a year and was a member of the Yell Squad. On 7-23-1950
he married Anita Chambers. They had 2 children, Debbie & Greg. On 1950 they
moved to Valdosta, GA to serve in the national Guard at Moody Air Force Base.
Back to Boise in 1952. During Gene's life he worked as a butcher, restaurant
owner, insurance sales man, furniture store owner; opening a furniture store
called Rajenes, when he started his interior design career. In 1971, Gene
married Karen Greaves and adopted her 3 children, Lori, Penne & Curtis. He
married the love of his life, Deborah Lee on 8-31-1986 in Las Vegas. Together
they traveled and had many adventures. After 10 yrs of marriage. They took on
the responsibility of raising 2 grandchildren Jace and Tanner Oswald for the
next 18 years. After Gene retired, he went back to work for BMC West. He was a
great example of a gentleman. Honesty, integrity and his word were his bond.
Gene was religious and had a special relationship with God. He was never a
complainer, stood up for what was right & fair. He was not a man of many
words but when he spoke you listened. He love to tinker and create anything.
Gene was preceded in death by his parents Harry and Georgia Liles, his brother
Richard Liles & Father in-law Roy Lee. Gene is survived by his wife Deborah
Liles, Children Greg(Shanna) Liles, Debbie(Rick) Hamrick, Penne(Kim) Stimpson,
Lori Brown, Curtis(Karen) Nadeau, Clark Fullmer, Stefanie(Bob) Reed,
Travis(Carrie) Fullmer, Jace & Tanner Oswald, 20 grandchildren and 17 great
grandchildren, sister Joyce(Jim) Hancock and mother-in-law Thelma Lee. He was
dearly loved by his friends and family and will be sorely missed. There will be
a celebration of his life on Oct. 30th,2014 at the StoneHouse @ 709 E. Park
Blvd. Boise 83712
