Gilbert Roland Gould was promoted to heaven on February 24, 2025, through his great faith in his savior, Jesus Christ.

Gil was born May 4,1939 in Tacoma WA, to parents Harold and Roberta Gould. Shortly after, they relocated to Boise, ID, where he began his love of the Idaho outdoors. In the 11th grade, while visiting his friend and neighbor Jim, Gil’s attention was captured by the sister of his future brother-in-law, Gina Hiddleston. After much pestering, she agreed to a first date, that led to a marriage that would last 65+ years.

At age 17, Gil enlisted in the Navy, where he began his trade as an electrician. He later achieved Master Electrician, had an electrical business, and was licensed in several states. In 1978, Gil and Gina moved to McCall, where they resided for 44 years. His talents extended beyond electrical, and into designing and building custom homes, creating a long and successful career. Of greater importance to him was family and friends.

He is survived by his wife Gina; sister Mary Buse (Joseph); children: Brenda O’Brien (Dave), Jamie Forsyth (Bruce), Gilbert Gould Jr. aka Bo (Tina); 8 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

At the time of his passing he resided in Meridian, ID. Gil was known for his great work ethic, his incredibly giving heart, enjoyment of the outdoors, love towards people, love of Country and his love for God. He cherished his time with family and friends. His adventures, funny stories and memories he shared were enjoyed by many. He is greatly missed.

As per Gil’s request, there will be no funeral services.
