My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. Psalm 73:26
I have fought the good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. 2 Timothy 4:7
Gladys Grace Schmidt Mueller Bennett ....GiGi...fought the good fight and then God called her home on June 4, 2024...Joyously she left to be with her Lord.
GiGi was born on March 26, 1935 in Sheridan county, North Dakota to Adam Schmidt and Katherina Gehring Schmidt and became part of a family of six...Delorous (Balzer) Keller...Raymond (Miyoko) Schmidt...Gilbert (Mary Lou) Schmidt...Chester (Betty) Schmidt...Vaughn de Leath (Floyd) Wangen. Two others died at birth and all the rest including her parents have preceded her in death.
Her early childhood she lived in both Mandan then in Harvey, North Dakota. She was surrounded in both communities with people supporting each other in hard work, laughing, playing cards, encouraging each other, and going to church together. From a very young age she loved glorifying the Lord with her singing and praising. This was continuously demonstrated in the rest of her life's journey.
In 1951 she married Raymond Richard Mueller. They moved around a lot and eventually ended up in Shelley, Idaho. They had a hard life story which eventually ended in divorce. We are all stories in the end, remembered by the adventures we had, the achievements we made and the people we loved. Her story became a book she wrote and was published called "Summer In The Sun."
Their story included 7 children..Clorinda (Tom) Johnson...Michael (Carol) Mueller....Russell (Debbie) Mueller....Chester Mueller (deceased)...Gary (Sharon) Mueller....Rick (Leesa) Mueller....Carisa (Dan) Dami. ..Also 20 grandchildren..42 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild...2 grandkids and 1 great grand child preceded her in death.
She worked in a lot of sales oriented jobs where she was a passionate and dedicated worker where she achieved a lot of success. This is where she met the Love of Her Life Wayne Bennett..They married on 26th of September 1980. He brought 9 children to the family. Waynette (Karl) VanLueven...James David Rogers....Thomas Ray (TR) Bennett...Nola (Clifton ) Robinson...Diane (John) Myers...Lynda (Larry) Hill...Michelle Whitehead ... Shawna (John) Soczewa (deceased)...Wayne Jr. Bennett.....plus 30 grandchildren...66 great grandchildren and 24 great great grandchildren.
Their life together was filled with many challenges but their love for each other their dedication and love of studying the bible and praying made this a love that you would want for everyone. They loved family gatherings, business adventures, dancing, (and boy could they dance), spending time with friends and quiet dinners for two. Always saying that She was so Blessed. Even when the love of her life died.
Jesus said, "I am the Resurrection and the life Those who believe in me, even though they die, will live and everyone who lives and believes in me will never die John 11:25-26
There are no goodbyes for us just see ya later!
