Glenn A.
(Pete) Barbour, 87, of Mountain Home, ID, died on June 11, 2014, in Santa Rosa,
NM. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, June 18, 2014, from 6-8 p.m. at
Alden-Waggoner Funeral Chapel, Boise. Graveside services will be held on
Thursday, June 19, 2014, at 1 p.m. at Dry Creek Cemetery.
Pete was
born on April 22, 1927, in Eagle Island, ID to Alan Clark Barbour and Ruth
Viola (Schmitt) Barbour. He attended Eagle Grade School through the eighth
grade. Pete married Donna Elizabeth on January 14, 1950. Together they lived in
Oregon, Idaho and spent some winters in Arizona. Pete was employed with the
Truss-Joist Western Corp. in Boise. He enjoyed playing music and singing, and
also dancing. He spent time camping and fishing, and was a member of
Camp-World, volunteering as a camp host at various campsites around Idaho. Pete
also enjoyed traveling to different destinations, going to jam sessions and
spending time with friends and family.
He was
preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Jim Barbour; son, Steven Barbour;
and granddaughter, Christina Barbour.
Pete is
survived by his wife, Donna Barbour of Mtn. Home, ID; three children, Vicki
Barnhart of Mtn. Home, ID, Pam Miller of Berryville, AR, and Rex Barbour of
Mtn. Home, ID; grandchildren, Sheila Ingram, Jamie Barnhart, Russell Davis,
Shelly Miller-Dodge, Adrian Richards, Steven Barbour, and Roseanna Cupit;
eleven great-grandchildren; and one great great-grandchild.
Pete will be
greatly missed by all of his family and friends.
