Glenrose June Ewing, 85, died peacefully on February 26, 2015 surrounded by her family.  Glenrose was born September 13, 1929 in Elwood, Nebraska to Virgil and Marie Harm.

Glenrose’s family moved to Idaho in 1935.  She lived and went to school at numerous places including: Cascade, Garden Valley, Emmett, Star/Middleton, and finally graduated from Meridian in 1947.  She showed a lot of tenacity to complete her schooling at so many different places.  She married Vyrl Ewing on April 12, 1948.  She raised 4 children: Doug (Faye) Ewing, Jeannette (JJ) (Steve) Barker, Camile (Jerry) Tibbetts and Theresa Panzer.  She began work as an office manager for an insurance agency and later worked 33 years at the VA Hospital in Boise.  She was known as, “the gal that got things done.”  Glenrose loved to do many things including: dancing, bowling and playing cards.   She enjoyed arranging flowers and baking birthday cakes for her children and grandchildren.  She was often off camping with friends and family in her trailer or motor home.  She was involved in many capacities with N.A.R.F.E., including being the president.  She was especially proud of her work with Alzheimer’s.  She will forever be loved and missed by her family.

Glenrose was preceded in death by her parents and her sister and brother-in-law, Virginia and Kenny Oliver and special nephew, Joshua Oliver.

Glenrose is survived by her 4 children, 14 grandchildren, and 28 great grandchildren, a brother, Gordon (Sandi) Harm, and many special nieces and nephews.


Funeral services will be held at Alden-Waggoner Funeral Chapel on Saturday, March 7 , 2015.  Public viewing will be from 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. with the service at 2:00 p.m. and the interment at the Kuna cemetery to follow.
