Grant Darling, 80, of Boise, Idaho passed away September 10, 2014.
He was born April 2, 1934 in Minidoka, Idaho to the late Scott and Viola
Darling. He was the youngest of seven boys.
Grant graduated from Jerome High School in 1952 and for a short time attended
college at Idaho State University. He married Vivian Brooks, July 20,
1954. Together they built a beautiful family with three darling
daughters.
Grant served two years in the United States Army as a Medic and went on to
have a successful 35-year career with Clover Club Foods.
Grant was a devoted family man to his wife and three daughters. He enjoyed
hunting and fishing with older brother and best friend Meryl Darling. He was an
avid sports fan and enjoyed attending both Boise Hawks and BSU Football games.
Grant is survived by his wife Vivian Darling; His three daughters, Sandy
Bunce; Terry Ashby (Ken Ashby); and Jody Mayo (Douglas Mayo). Five
grandchildren, Jill Ashby; Mike, Matthew and Thomas Mayo; and Kasey Bunce.
Three great-grandsons Harrison, Grayson and Grant Ashby; as well as numerous
nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations be made to the
Multiple Sclerosis Foundation.

services will be held Saturday, September 20 at 1:30 PM at the Alden Waggoner
Funeral Home at 5400 Fairview Ave, Boise ID 83706. *BSU attire encouraged
