Gregory Dale
Orsborn, 51, of Middleton, died Monday, June 10, 2013 at home.
"I don't
ask for much, I only want
trust". For all of his simplicity,
Greg was the most complicated person there was, often misunderstood but was one
of the most loving, genuine fellows you'd ever meet, always taking time for
others. Greg had a deep compassion for
children and the elderly. He despised
injustice, bullies, phoniness, and earwigs.
Greg would argue with a passion, but even though he thought your opinion
was faulty he always loved you.
He was generous to a
fault. His friends and family were first
in his life. Greg served 4 years in the
US Navy, USS Ranger and excelled in the
Naval Air Crewman Survival School.
Later in life he rescued several people from drowning at Lowman and
Cascade Lake.
Greg worked hard for
many years in landscaping and in the HVAC industry. He faithfully kept his mom and dad's acreage
well groomed for several years until his health deteriorated.
Greg was loved by
all and will be missed immensely. His
best buddy and mentor for 32 years was Derald, who Greg respected and loved.
Survivors include
his mother, Theda Downing, Middleton, ID;
brother, Dennis Orsborn (Chris), Laveen, AZ; sister, Julia Meyers (Wayne),
Cheney, WA; and his birth father, Jerry
Orsborn, (Karen), Meridian, ID; and his
sister, Rachel Orsborn Gordon, (Nathan), Meridian; many nieces and nephews, and
special nephew and caregiver, Gabriel Orsborn.
He is preceded in death by a sister, Merianne Widman, (Bob), and his
dad, Derald Downing.
At Greg's request no
services will be held. Cremation is
under the direction of the Alden-Waggoner Funeral Chapel.
