Griffin Charles Edward Shultz

Born on Monday, April 9, 2007 in Glendale, California, adopted at birth by his moms, Leslie Stubbs and Lisa Shultz, Griffin died tragically on Monday, March 10th at the age of seventeen. Griffin lived in Boise his entire life.

A senior at Frank Church High School, he will graduate posthumously on May 15th, 2025. His plan for after high school was to become a fully certified welder in stick, mig and tig welding. Griffin was interested in learning about pipe welding and fabrication.

As a youth, he participated in Y-ball, T-ball, soccer, Optimist football, Friday Night Flag Football, hockey, lacrosse and tennis.

His passions were his long-time girlfriend of two and half years Halie, welding, cars and gaming. He had the kindest heart.

Griffin is preceded in death by his grandmother Joyce L Stubbs. He is survived by his moms, his long-time girlfriend Halie Schaffer, grandmother Darlene Shultz, grandfather Glenn Shultz; aunts, Lori Rieder (Gary), Jody Shultz (Eric), Jene’ Fisher (James); uncles Steve Shultz (Ellen), Brad Stubbs (Margretta Diemer) and Great Uncle Jerrome H Jantz, ten first cousins, numerous second cousins and friends.

A Celebration of Life with Holy Eucharist will be held at Saint Michael’s Episcopal Cathedral, 518 N. 8th Street in Boise, Idaho on April 4th at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, gifts can be made in Griffin’s name to Saint Michael’s or The Idaho Humane Society - Griffin loved all animals.
