Harry Joseph Hagler, age 81, passed away of natural causes
on Wednesday, November 19

He was born in Huron, Montana, May 21
st
, 1933 to Jesse Ray
Hagler and Agnes Rose (Moynahan) Hagler; they moved to Idaho in 1937.
Harry graduated from Caldwell High School in 1951 where he
boxed and played football during his four years. After graduation, Harry moved to Clarks Fork,
Idaho to work on the Cabinet Gorge Dam, where he fell one day on his way to
lunch, breaking his knee. Harry was in
the Navy from 1952 to 1956. He was
stationed on ships for most of his career and spent much of his time in foreign
countries while enlisted. After the Navy
he spent some time in Idaho, then left for California where he was a car
salesman and met his first wife, Caroline (Bistany) of New York. After she passed away in 1966, he moved back
to Idaho and continued his work with cars.
He married Jeryl Dean (Moore) of Caldwell, ID in 1988; she passed away
in 2000. Harry lived his remaining years
at the Idaho State Veterans Home, where he was treated like family by the
staff. His family would like to extend
their gratitude for the kindness they showed him.
Harry was preceded in death by his Dad and Mother; nephew,
Patrick Joseph Miller; and brother, Charles Robert Hagler. He is survived by three sisters and two
brothers, Jennie Weir, Victorville, CA; Nancy Morrow, Boise, ID; and Mary Jo
Sharp (Bob), Nampa, ID; Alvin (Gayle) Hagler, Meridian, ID; and Tom (Martha)
Hagler, Davis, CA. Harry is also
survived by 18 nieces and nephews and many additional generations of nieces and
nephews.
A graveside service will be held at the Idaho State Veterans
Cemetery on December 2
