Heather “Anne” Redman, 81, of Boise, passed away
Wednesday, December 21, 2016, with her daughters by her side at St. Alphonsus
Regional Medical Center. A celebration of life is being planned in spring 2017.
She was born Heather Anne MacLean on October 12, 1935,
in Pasadena, California, 13 minutes before her identical twin sister Lynne. At
the age of nine, her family moved to Drew, Oregon, and attended school in Days
Creek, Oregon, where Anne and Lynne were one of two sets of twins on the cheer
squad. The family then moved to Denver, Colorado, where she graduated from East
High School. She married the love of her life, Robert L. “Bob” Redman on June
25, 1955 in Denver, Colorado. They moved to California where they started a
family (Bob Jr., Cheryl and Linda), bought their first home in Huntington Beach,
California, where they lived until moving to Boise in 1973.
Anne’s specialty was customer service, and worked in
banking for most of her career. Her favorite saying was, “I was born to retire;
it only took me 45 years to get there!” All of her bank customers adored her.
They would literally wait in line until she was available to help them. She
loved her job, and helping people, but she loved retirement more. Once Bob and
Anne were both retired, they were able to take some special trips to
California, Oregon, and Washington, but one of her most favorite places was
Bandon, Oregon where she shared many good times with Bob, her brother Dan, and
her sisters Nancy, and Lynne.
Anne enjoyed many hobbies including ceramic painting,
and took delight in working side by side with Bob to build two dollhouses,
furniture included. Her favorite thing to do was taking pictures with her
camera or from a family album, and mailing out “story” letters to family and
friends to share the happenings in Boise, Idaho. She also enjoyed making special
yearly calendars and unique greeting cards for any occasion she could think of.
Getting a card “made with Love from Anne” was very special.
Anne is survived by her daughters Cheryl (Redman)
Bassett, and Linda Redman, both of Boise, Idaho; grandson Ramon Lizaso of Star,
Idaho; great-grandson Jayson Lizaso, and great-granddaughter Hailie Lizaso, of
Melba, Idaho; sister and brother-in-law Lynne and Don Wise Sr. of Denver,
Colorado; sister-in-law Lois MacLean of Newberg, Oregon; mother-in-law Audra
Redman, and sister-in-laws Norma Smith of San Diego, California, and Dianne
Saez of Anaheim, California; and many nephews, nieces and cousins.
Anne was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years,
Bob Redman Sr.; son Bob Redman Jr.; brother Dan MacLean; brother-in-law Leon
Smith; sister Nancy Knebel; father-in-law Norman Redman; mother Lucile MacLean;
father William Royal MacLean; and nephews Rick Rush and Don Wise Jr.
The family wishes to express many thanks to the
various nursing and medical staff (ICU, 8 Central), therapists, and pastoral
care at St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center for the care and respect given to
Anne and her family. They would also like to express gratitude to Dr. Parker
Fillmore (her surgeon) and Dr. Valerie Lee (Palliative Care) for going above
and beyond the call of duty. Your efforts will never be forgotten.
Anne had a great love for animals, so memorials may be
made to the Idaho Humane Society, 4775 W Dorman St, Boise, ID 83705.
