Helen B. “Sawyer” Hardin, 85, of Meridian, formerly of
Cascade, ID, died Wednesday, May 4, 2016 in Meridian.
Helen was born February 25, 1931, in Cascade, Idaho, the
daughter of Glenn W. Sawyer and Barbara Portlock Sawyer. She grew up in Cascade and lived there for 83
years. Helen was a dietician at Valley
County Hospital for 15 years and an Avon Lady for 10 years. On June 12, 1964,
Helen married Tom Hardin in Boise, Idaho.
Helen enjoyed crocheting, knitting, and sewing, as well as
working in her yard and planting flowers.
She was a pet lover and had many dogs and cats but her
passion was birds, chickens with names and cockatiels.
Helen attended the Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include her daughters, Lellia Romero and Barbara
Hedge; her son, Marlin Hardin; grandchildren, Shawna Troughtou, Valerie
Hertel, Veronica Naumann, Robbie, Helen and Michael Romero; and great
grandchild, Severa. She was preceded in
death by her husband of 25 years, Tom C. Hardin; her daughter, Linda May Weeks, siblings, John
King, Frank Ruel, Willis, Richard and Ray Sawyer and Leona Sawyer Smith.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, May
8, 2016 at the Assembly of God Church in Cascade, Idaho.
